One of the most high respected universities in Australia, the University of Western Australia, is based in Perth, Western Australia. The University of Western Australia is one of the most prestigious institutions of higher education in Australia. Within the state of Western Australia, it is unrivaled for prestige. It is one of the best schools in that part of the world—in fact it is regularly featured in national and international rankings.
The University of Western Australia is one of the oldest degree-granting institutions in Australia, it was the second university in the state of Western Australia. It was founded in 1911 by an act of the Australian Parliament. Since that date the university has been home to nearly 100 Rhodes Scholars and a Nobel Prize winner—Barry Marshall, a world famous physician and microbiologist. “Seek Wisdom”, the motto of the university, is clearly more than just a slogan.
The University of Western Australia Business School is known for a similar level of prestige and rigor. It is generally considered to be amongst the best business schools in Australia. A student at the Business School can pick between two degree programs, the Bachelor’s in Commerce and the Bachelor’s in Economics. The various majors that are offered in concert with these degrees include Accounting, Management, Human Resource Management, Employment Relations, and Economics—amongst others.
